Service changes on Monday, Dec. 19

Starting Dec. 19, due to HuLRT construction, there will be bus stop changes at the City Centre Transit Terminal for Routes 20 Rathburn, 26 Burnhamthorpe and 109 Meadowvale Express. MiWay will also be launching seasonal service changes from Dec. 19, 2022 to Jan. 1, 2023, to ensure that service is aligned with customer demand during the holidays.

Bus stop changes at City Centre Transit Terminal

Starting on December 19, the bus stops for routes below at the City Centre Transit Terminal will be relocated from Platform N to Platform O, due to HuLRT construction.

• 20 W Rathburn
• 26 W Burnhamthorpe (Saturday and Sunday)
• 109 N Meadowvale Express

Bus stop changes at Kipling Bus Terminal

Starting Dec. 19, 2022, to accommodate the larger articulated buses for the Route 26 Burnhamthorpe, the following bus stop changes will take place at Kipling Bus Terminal:

• 26 Burnhamthorpe will move from Platform 4 to Platform 15 (stop #9117)
• 35 Eglinton will move from Platform 15 to Platform 4 (stop #9057)

Holiday season service

From Monday, Dec. 19, 2022 until Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, some routes will have less frequent service and some routes will not operate due to low customer demand. Please check for updated schedules.

The table below summarizes the changes. Regular service resumes on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.

These routes will have less frequent weekday service from Mon, Dec. 19, 2022 to Sun, Jan. 1, 2023:

• 2 Hurontario
• 3 Bloor
• 9 Rathburn-Thomas
• 10 Bristol-Britannia
• 17 Hurontario
• 20 Rathburn
• 26 Burnhamthorpe
• 35 Eglinton-Ninth Line
• 51 Tomken
• 101 Dundas Express
• 107 Malton Express (no service to Humber College North Campus)
• 109 Meadowvale Express

These routes will not operate from Mon, Dec. 19, 2022 to Sun, Jan. 1, 2023:

• 18 McLaughlin-Derry
• 300-series school routes (will not operate from Dec. 26, 2022 to Jan. 6, 2023)

These routes will have less frequent service on Sun, Dec. 25, 2022 and Sun, Jan. 1, 2023:

• 2 Hurontario
• 4 Sherway Gardens
• 9 Rathburn-Thomas
• 10 Bristol-Britannia
• 11 Westwood
• 17 Hurontario
• 23 Lakeshore

These routes will not operate on Sun, Dec. 25, 2022 and Sun, Jan. 1, 2023:

• 28 Confederation
• 35 Eglinton-Ninth Line
• 46 Tenth Line-Osprey
• 48 Erin Mills

MiWay will operate on a regular Saturday schedule on Mon, Dec. 26, 2022, due to increased customer demand on Boxing Day.

Ride free on New Year’s Eve

MiWay will offer free service on New Year’s Eve from 7 pm on Sat, Dec. 31, 2022 to 4 am on Sun, Jan. 1, 2023.

The following routes will also have extended late night service after 2 am on New Year’s Eve: 1 Dundas, 2 Hurontario, 3 Bloor, 5 Dixie, 7 Airport, 10 Bristol-Britannia, 11 Westwood, 13 Glen Erin, 17 Hurontario, 23 Lakeshore, 26 Burnhamthorpe, 61 Mavis and 66 McLaughlin.

Customer service holiday hours of operation

MiWay Customer Service will have revised hours of operation from Fri, Dec. 23, 2022 to Wed, Jan. 3, 2023:

Fares Booth at the City Centre Transit Terminal

Open from 11:15 am to 7 pm on weekdays.

Closed on weekends, and on Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
