Public Notices

This section will contain notices in accordance with By-law 0516-2003. This By-law outlines the form and manner for the provision of Public Notice under the Municipal Act 2001.

This section will also contain additional notices that are of interest to the citizens of Mississauga.

NOTE : Recent changes to the Planning Act

Under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended and with respect to Bill 51 applications:

i)  If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the City of Mississauga before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the City of Mississauga to the Ontario Municipal Board.

ii)  If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the City of Mississauga before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

A copy of your written submission will be forwarded to Mississauga City Council to become part of the public record with respect to the above noted matter. 

The personal information requested is collected under authority of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended and the applicable implementing Ontario Regulation.  This information will be used to inform you of future meetings including Ontario Municipal Board Hearings regarding the above application.  Questions about the collection of personal information should be directed to the Access and Privacy Officer, City of Mississauga, 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga, ON  L5B 3C1 or by telephone at 905-615-3200, Ext. 5181.

A Notice of Passage of a Heritage Conservation District By-Law, By-Law 0078-2014, by the Council of The Corporation of the City of Mississauga for the area known locally as Meadowvale Village which is located in the vicinity of the intersection of Derry Road West and Second Line West in Ward 11. Please note that this Notice of Passage, a copy of By-Law 0078-2014, and a letter from Heather MacDonald, Director, Policy Planning Division, Planning and Building Department, regarding the Meadowvale Village Heritage Conservation District Plan's proposed Official Plan and zoning changes for all detached dwellings were mailed to 68 affected residents in the Meadowvale Village area and the Ontario Heritage Trust on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
