Mississauga reports on 2010
progress
What does it mean for a city to move? To see its people belong and connect? To prosper? To
become green? Those are the pillars that will help Mississauga to grow and succeed as a 21st
century city.
It has now been three years since the City of Mississauga launched a groundbreaking public
engagement project called Our Future Mississauga. The community created an exciting vision for
the city and in 2009, a bold Strategic Plan and Action Plan. This is the second year that we
are sharing some of the progress were making.
Our annual
Progress Report for 2010 is now available as is its Executive Summary.
Progress Reports are an important part of our pledge to continue working closely with our
community partners to ensure that their voices are heard and that we stay grounded in the key
actions that support our goals. Click on the
Plan link in the navigation to the left to view the Progress Report and Executive
Summary from previous years, the Strategic Plan and Action Plan.
New Sheridan Mississauga Campus - A Successful
Partnership
The City of Mississauga and Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning
(Sheridan) have broken ground on one of the most exciting initiatives to take place in the City
of Mississauga.
Through a unique and innovative partnership, the City and Sheridan are building a new campus
and community park which will help transform Mississauga's downtown into a vibrant centre and
connected community. Here youth, new Canadians and businesses will learn, experience and invest
in the people and assets that contribute to the quality of life and success of our citizens and
business community. Learn more
