The Strategic Plan is the plan for the city's future. It is a roadmap to take us from where the
city is today to where it will be tomorrow and over the next forty years. It is both a plan of
ideas and a plan of actions. We received thousands and thousands of ideas through the Our
Future Mississauga - Be Part of the Conversation community engagement campaign. Those
ideas, your participation and commitment to realizing Mississauga's potential are reflected on
each page of the Plan.

Last Call for Strategic Plan Ambassador Program
Presentations
The City of Mississauga's bold new vision is a reflection of your ideas, hopes and dreams for
the future. Through the Strategic Plan Ambassador program, the City will bring the Strategic
Plan full circle by returning to the community, where the Our Future Mississauga engagement
campaign began.
Strategic Plan ambassadors have been selected from City staff and will be responsible for
presenting and inspiring discussion with Mississauga's residents, businesses, and community
groups about ways to make our new Vision and Strategic Plan a reality.

Downtown Campus Breaks New Ground for Sheridan
and the City
Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning and the City of Mississauga have broken
ground on one of the most exciting initiatives to take place in the City of Mississauga!
In just six short months after launching the City’s new Strategic Plan, Council approved
the purchase of 3.46 ha (8.55 ac) just north of the Living Arts Centre and a Lease Agreement
that together make the new Sheridan Mississauga campus and integrated community park a reality.
Have a glimpse at the new site (link to photo here). This unique partnership will accomplish a
number of the City’s strategic goals, and will be a catalyst to transform our downtown
into a vibrant centre and connected community.
Students, new Canadians and those wanting to pursue continuing education opportunities close to
home will have more choice. Businesses will also have a growing pool of talent to draw from
right here in Mississauga.
