The City works hard to keep Mississauga clean, green and beautiful. But we cannot do it alone!

You can get involved. Help us plant trees, paint murals, plant a community garden or even just make a donation to help our community!

Tree Planting Programs

Tree Planting ProgramsTrees are important to the environment, health and quality of life in our neighbourhoods. The City launched the One Million Trees Mississauga program with the goal of planting one million trees by 2032. Trees are planted by City staff, partners and volunteers on public and private property around the City.

Park Beautification MuralsMurals add beauty to our parks and help build community pride. The City works with residents and community groups to create murals.

Green GiftsHelp add beauty to our parks. Make a donation through our Green Gifts program:
  • to add a new tree or bench to a park
  • to remember a loved one and add a plaque to the tree or bench
  • to make a monetary donation

Community Gardens

Community GardensCommunity Gardens connects residents with gardening spaces that encourage active, healthy living while keeping Mississauga green. To bring community gardens to neighbourhoods around Mississauga, the City has partnered with Ecosource since 2006.

Parks Community Stewardship ProgramThe Mississauga Parks Community Stewardship Program (PCSP) was established to enhance City parks, natural areas and open spaces on a volunteer basis.

Natural Ice Rink Program

Natural Ice Rink ProgramThe Natural Ice Rink Program works with volunteers to provide outdoor skating facilities for residents. The program is operated through Mississauga Parks in co-operation with volunteer residents from the community.
