As the weather warms, many people start planning parties, workshops, wedding and baby showers, intimate or large weddings, religious events and other celebrations. Costs can add up, guest lists can change, and planning ahead helps your event run smoothly. The City of Mississauga helps make it easier for residents and non-residents to book City-owned venues for their next event.

Find the perfect space for your occasion

The City has many impressive facilities, including:

  • Community centre rooms for meetings, workshops, showers and parties.
  • Arenas for skating parties, and indoor artificial turf fields for team parties.
  • Museums and heritage sites for unique gatherings with open spaces and rich history.
  • Picnic areas and outdoor spaces for seasonal celebrations at some of the greenest parks in the city.

These spaces are flexible for various types of events. Hosts and guests must follow City rental policies. These rules help keep everyone safe.

How to book a facility

The City makes the rental process simple, offering multiple ways to secure your space:

Submit a facility rental request form for select venues (excluding banquet halls)

If you know when you want to host your event, you can submit a request online. This is the main way to book most indoor spaces. Fill out the Rental Space form and City staff will contact you to talk about availability. The form allows you to specify your event type, preferred location and date.

Use Active Mississauga for select facilities

For gyms, arenas, indoor turf fields, library rooms and more, you can browse and book directly on Active Mississauga. This is ideal for people who want instant confirmation. Watch the how-to video to learn how to book a rental online.

Need to book at the last minute?

People may not always be able to plan gatherings or meetings weeks in advance. Call Customer Service at 905‑615‑4100 for help securing a booking within 14 days. Not all spaces will be available. It depends on the location and when you call.

Why rent a City facility?

When you choose to rent a City facility, you may benefit from some low-cost options in comparison to private event spaces. The City makes hosting accessible and fair with transparent pricing. Facilities are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

City facilities are professionally maintained, ensuring clean, safe and accessible environments for all guests. The City asks all guests and hosts to keep the venues clean and safe for everyone’s enjoyment.

Renting a City of Mississauga facility is a simple way to host a memorable event. As a city with a rich history and a variety of facilities, hosts have many options to enjoy. The amenities are reliable, easy to book and spread throughout Mississauga.

The right venue for you

With venues spread throughout the city, hosts can choose a location that’s close to home or central for guests. Non-residents can also apply to host events at City facilities as Mississauga welcomes everyone. As peak event season approaches, outdoor picnic areas, community rooms and sports facilities become especially popular. Booking early can help you secure the perfect spot before demand peaks.

Full-service event spaces with in-house catering

Mississauga has full-service event spaces with plated meals, nice views and comfortable seating.

Explore the following options:
