Downtown Mobility Hub and Transitway Connection

The City of Mississauga is undertaking a Transit and Rail Project Assessment Process and preliminary design for the Downtown Mobility Hub and Transitway Connection.

Study overview

Mississauga has started the process to design and assess the Downtown Mobility Hub and Transitway Connection, which is part of the City’s Downtown Movement Plan (2024).

The goals for the Mobility Hub are to increase how many riders can use transit and improve how transit works in our downtown core. The Mississauga Transitway is a grade-separated, bus-only roadway that spans central Mississauga.

The study is intended to plan and design the Mississauga Transitway connections to the future hub, how it integrates with future developments and to develop a 30% preliminary design.

Study area

The Downtown Mobility Hub and Transitway Connection is focused on the downtown area along Rathburn Road, Station Gate Road, and Centre View Drive, between Mavis Road and Hurontario Street.
