LA.07.CIT – Protected Major Transit Station Area Pre-Zoning Update

On April 28, 2025, the City’s Planning and Development Committee approved recommendations to pre-zone certain lands within Protected Major Transit Station Areas. Further changes to those recommendations are being proposed including the following:
• Permit Medical Office, Office, and Overnight Accommodation uses and other zoning standards for the RA6 (Urban Apartment – Mixed Use) zone.
• Implement new Mississauga Official Plan 2051 policies respecting maximum height restrictions within Hospital Growth Centre.
• Allow zoning flexibility for existing commercial properties to maintain operations and provide for minor expansions
• Introduce transition clause ensuring in-process development and building permit applications within the study area to be reviewed against previous zoning permissions.
