City Honours Fire and Emergency Services Team at Fire and Emergency Achievement Night

On December 11, the City hosts its annual Fire and Emergency Services Achievement Night, celebrating the accomplishments of Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services (MFES) staff and new recruits.

The event honours long-service staff (20, 30 and 40 years), recognizes special achievements and celebrates the graduation of 17 new recruits. After completing a 12-week-long training course, the recruits now join MFES as permanent staff.

This is the first Fire Achievement Night attended by Mayor Crombie as well as Fire Chief Tim Beckett, who joined Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services in July.
