Saturday’s official opening includes a number of activities, such as: DJ and performers, facility tours and chef demonstrations, EMS and water safety showcase, storytime on a bus, pumpkin craft, community partner displays, family fitness activities, sport activities, sidewalk art, basketball shoot around and skate park pros.

Located at 5320 Ninth Line, the 75,000-square foot community centre and 57-acre Sports Park offers:

• 25-metre, six-lane pool and therapeutic pool
• Triple gymnasium
• Multipurpose Room, including a teaching kitchen
