2016 Budget Committee Meeting Update

Today at Budget Committee the following service area presented their 2016 Business Plan and Budget:

The Budget Committee has now completed its review of staff presentations and reports. The Committee approved recommendations to the 2016 Business Plan and Budget for City Council’s consideration and approval at its December 9 Council meeting.

Council will consider the impact of the 2016 Business Plan and Budget which amounts to 1.6 per cent on the City’s portion of the residential tax bill.  Including the proposed Region of Peel increase of 0.9 per cent and assuming no increase in the provincial education rate, the total increase in Mississauga’s residential property tax is expected to be about 2.5 per cent.
