Beatrice ‘Queen Bea’ Moreira-Laidlow to be Honoured during Official Dedication Ceremony this Weekend

On Saturday, October 2, the Port Credit Lighthouse landing will be officially dedicated to the memory of Beatrice “Queen Bea” Moreira-Laidlow for her work and commitment to the Port Credit community during her 20 years with the Port Credit Business Improvement Area (BIA).

Media are invited to attend the ceremony and take pictures during this invite-only event.

Background

Beatrice Moreira-Laidlow was the former General Manager of the Port Credit Business Improvement Area (BIA).

Beatrice worked for the Port Credit BIA for 20 years and was a major part of key initiatives in Port Credit including the Mississauga Waterfront Festival and The Southside Shuffle.

She also led the BIA Beautification Portfolio and managed the Port Credit Farmer’s Market.

Beatrice passed away on October 11, 2020.
