Call for Buskers! Help Add Vibrancy to the City

The City of Mississauga is now accepting applications for the busking season.

The City of Mississauga is now accepting applications for the busking season, running from May 1 to October 31. The SaugaBusks program allows individuals or groups to perform and showcase their talents at designated busking areas around Mississauga.

Buskers help bring energy and excitement to neighbourhoods, while providing opportunities for emerging and established artists to connect with the community.

This year, there are 11 busk stop locations around the city and they include:

  • Port Credit Busk Stop #1 – [MAP]
    (south of the Lakeshore on the east side of the bridge opposite the lighthouse)
  • Port Credit Busk Stop #2 – [MAP]
    (west of JJ Plaus Park)
  • Port Credit Busk Stop #3 – [MAP]
    (west of St. Lawrence Park, on the Waterfront Trail)
  • Port Credit Busk Stop #4 – [MAP]
    (at 200 Lakeshore East, during Port Credit Farmers Market on Saturdays from June-October, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
  • Lakefront Promenade Marina – [MAP]
    (by the Marina snack bar)
  • Jack Darling Park – [MAP]
    (south of the washrooms where the Waterfront Trail meets the beach; across from where the food vendor usually sets up)
  • Mississauga Celebration Square – [MAP]
    (outside the Glass Pavilion on the lower square)
  • City Centre Transit Terminal, Platform A – [MAP]
    (north-east corner of Rathburn Road West and Station Gate Road)
  • Streetsville Village Square – [MAP]
    (facing Queen Street next to Second Cup)
  • Paul Coffey Park – [MAP]
    (outside the arena by the playground)
  • Meadowvale Community Centre – [MAP]
    (front entrance of the community centre)

To apply for the SaugaBusks program, potential candidates will need to fill out and submit an application form. Once approved, buskers can pick up their busker ID from the Customer Service Centre at Paramount Fine Foods Centre located at 5600 Rose Cherry Place (North Building).
