Are you considering a career in firefighting? Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services (MFES) is now accepting applications for Camp Ignite – a firefighting and leadership camp focused on introducing young women to a potential career with fire services.
This year, Camp Ignite will offer participants a leadership component. Throughout the weeklong camp, from July 15 to 19, teens girl ages 15 to 19 will be equipped with the ability to overcome limiting beliefs and challenge perspectives. In addition, it will expose them to women in leadership positions on an experiential level.
Youth motivational speaker, Joe Beckman, will be joining the teens on Friday, July 19 to talk about kindness, inclusion and connection.
Through Camp Ignite, the teens will learn a diverse set of skills including:

Cost:
The cost of Camp Ignite is $150. Participants will require steel-toed boots and leather work gloves to take part in fire ground activities.
