From April 12 to 24, the City of Mississauga is hosting a series of online Earth Days 2021 events. These environmentally-focused events will educate residents on sustainable actions they can take to protect the environment while helping to make Mississauga more climate change resilient. Events range from online field trips and walking tours to nature sketching sessions. Earth Days 2021 programming encourages residents to develop a greater understanding of low-carbon and environmentally-friendly practices.
Earth Days 2021 furthers the actions set out in the City’s Climate Change Action Plan by educating residents about climate change action. The plan includes 21 key actions to be implemented by 2030 including meaningful engagement opportunities for residents.

Sketch Night | April 16 | An online session to learn how to sketch nature around you. | Register |
Food in a Changing Climate | April 19 | An online session to learn practical tips and recipe ideas to make environmentally-friendly food choices. | Register |
Nature in Your Neighbourhood | April 21 | An online field trip to find out more about the amazing species in Mississauga. | Register |
Our Climate Our Stories: Storytelling by Canadian Youth | April 22 | An online event with a panel of young Canadian Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) as they share their climate experiences through their own narrated stories. There will be a special announcement by the City of Mississauga. | Register |
Online Gardening Workshop: Gardening in a Changing Climate |
