City of Mississauga is celebrating this special month with events that recognize our seniors’ contribution to making Mississauga a great city. Events also put the spotlight on “Aging without Boundaries” by providing information to help our older adults remain active, healthy, engaged and living independently in our community. Seniors, their families and care givers are welcome to attend.
Where
Events take place at City community centres and libraries, the Mississauga Seniors’ Centre and Square One Older Adult Centre.
Who
City staff and older adult groups are hosting special events that highlight city-wide initiatives, services and programs our local community organizations provide our senior community.
What
Events include open houses, displays, technology and program demonstrations, health and safety advice, movies, free refreshments and more to entertain and inform. Events also provide an opportunity for residents to socialize and experience firsthand a number of the great programs and services available to them.
