City Announces New Director, Transportation and Infrastructure Planning

The City of Mississauga has appointed Helen Noehammer as Director, Transportation and Infrastructure Planning effective August 11, 2014.

Reporting to the Commissioner, Transportation and Works, Martin Powell, Helen will be responsible for managing all business functions of the Transportation and Infrastructure Planning Division.

“Helen’s background and experience will be beneficial to the City as we continue to urbanize and deal with more complex high density development,” said Powell.

Helen has 20 years of experience in the transportation planning and municipal engineering fields.  She spent the majority of her career at the City of Toronto where she held the following positions: Senior Engineer and Planning Engineer, Infrastructure Planning; Manager, Infrastructure Planning; Manager, Development Engineering; Director, Development Engineering and most recently the Director, Engineering Review. Prior to joining the City of Toronto she worked as a Process Design Engineer for Imperial Oil.

Helen holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto.
