City of Mississauga Welcomes the 2022-2026 City Council

The City of Mississauga is holding its inaugural meeting of council on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. The inauguration will see Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Members of Council take their oaths of office for the 2022-2026 term. Initially planned for Council Chambers, the meeting has been moved to the Living Arts Centre to accommodate additional seating.

What:
The inauguration ceremony and swearing-in for 2022-2026 City of Mississauga Mayor and Members of Council:

  • Invocation
  • Declaration of Office of Mayor and presentation of Chain of Office
  • Declaration of Office of Members of Council
  • Mayoral Address

When:
Tuesday, November 15, 2022
Event begins at 7 p.m. in Hammerson Hall at the Living Arts Centre; doors open at 6:30 p.m.

  • Media availability with Mayor Crombie and Members of Council following the meeting at approximately 8:45 p.m.

Public Attendance:
Due to the change in venue, additional seats have become available. These seats will be available on a first come, first seated basis. There are no reservations needed for these additional seats.

The Inaugural meeting will be streamed live on the City’s website to allow everyone the opportunity to see Mayor Crombie and Members of Council sworn into office.
