Help Shape the Future of Port Credit’s Original Harbour Village

Local government | April 20, 2017

It’s been 13 years since the Old Port Credit Village Heritage Conservation District (HCD) Plan was first drafted. The City is now updating the plan and is asking for input from the public to help make important decisions that impact residents.

The original plan was drafted in 2004 and focuses on guiding physical changes to the area over time to ensure any changes contribute to the area’s special character.

Updates to the original strategy are being done to ensure the HCD Plan aligns with current Ontario Heritage Act legislation and follows current best practices and heritage conservation principles.

Currently, the area is comprised of residential, commercial and institutional properties.
