Is there a Cyclist in Your Neighbourhood Deserving of the Phil Green Award?

Do you know a cyclist who travels through your neighbourhood in sunshine, rain and snow? Maybe it’s a cyclist who promotes biking as an alternative to driving or a group that is so dedicated they get up early and ride to the farmer’s market. Mississauga’s Cycling Advisory Committee (MCAC) is looking to our residents to nominate cycling advocates for the Phil Green Recognition Award.

The award is presented by the MCAC to a resident or group of residents who have promoted or furthered cycling or other forms of active transportation in Mississauga in 2018.

What: Call for Nominees – Phil Green Recognition Award

When: Nomination deadline – Sunday, September 15, 2019 (see nomination form for full eligibility rules)

How: Fill out the digital form and submit online.

Nominations can also be sent by mail or email to addresses listed on the form. Nominations will be reviewed by the MCAC who will also select the winning candidate. The winner will receive the award at a City Council meeting this fall.
