Let MiWay be Your Designated Driver on New Year’s Eve

City services | December 20, 2016

There is no need to get behind the wheel on New Year’s Eve. Let MiWay be your designated driver to ensure that you, your friends and family get home safely.

MiWay is offering free rides on the evening of December 31, 2016. Riders can hop on a MiWay bus from 7 p.m. on December 31 to 4 a.m. on January 1.

“With MiWay’s free rides on New Year’s Eve you always have a safe ride home,” said Patrick Phaneuf, Acting Transit Director. “Safety on Mississauga’s roads on this festive evening is our priority and these free rides will support safer roads in our City.”

If your New Year’s Eve plans keep you out after midnight, MiWay’s service hours will be extended on routes that depart from local malls, GO stations and the Islington Subway Station. Extended evening service details are available at miway.ca/holidayservice.

“If you are planning to ring in the new year on Celebration Square, let MiWay drive you to and from the event to alleviate your driving and parking concerns,” added Phaneuf.
