Let’s Light up the Square and Kick Off the Holiday Season in Mississauga

Join Mayor Bonnie Crombie, Members of Council and other special guests at Light Up the Square on November 25. The City's final celebration of Canada 150, the event will include ice skating, the Holiday Street Market, photo op with Santa and his elves and the tree-lighting ceremony.

Calling all fans of the most wonderful time of the year! If you love the holidays, make sure the tree lighting event at Mississauga Celebration Square is on your must-do list. Light Up the Square is the City’s final celebration of Canada 150 and kicks off the holiday season on November 25.

Join fellow holiday lovers and celebrate the great white north where bright lights, winter’s magic and cozy moments make for an unforgettable night. Watch as Mayor Bonnie Crombie, Members of Council and other special guests light up the Christmas tree and fire up the seasonal festivities.

There’s something for everyone. Lace up your skates and hit the ice as the rink opens for the first time this season. Snap a photo with Santa and his elves. If chilling is more your style, check out the glow lounge, or take in the spectacular STARDREAMER Illuminated Experience by Creativiva Inc. featuring glow sway pole acts, cosmic dance performances and more than a dozen roaming entertainers.

In partnership with Mississauga Celebration Square, the Holiday Street Market returns for a second year with artisans and food truck vendors. Take advantage of this opportunity to find unique handmade items that will inspire your gift giving and to treat yourself to yummy winter snacks.
