It’s time to get moving! Head out to Mississauga Celebration Square on June 14 for a special Fresh Air Fitness class, featuring activities for all ages and abilities including yoga, Socasize and Zumba. In honour of Canada’s 150th birthday, the class will also feature the ParticipACTION 150 Play List – a list of 150 activities that encourages Canadians to be more active.
“The City has a long tradition of promoting the positive benefits of physical activity through sports, fitness and recreational activities like Fresh Air Fitness,” said Shari Lichterman, Director, Recreation. “We’re excited to welcome the ParticipACTION team to Mississauga to join us for our Fresh Air Fitness class. Together, we look forward to encouraging residents to get moving.”

“The ParticipACTION 150 Play List is a physical activity movement, inspiring and motivating Canadians everywhere to move more and sit less, and we are thrilled to have the City of Mississauga support us,” said Elio Antunes, President and CEO of ParticipACTION. “Modern life, with busy schedules, sedentary jobs, hours spent in front of screens and a love affair with convenience, has left little room for physical activity in everyday life. The ParticipACTION 150 Play List is helping Canadians sit less and move more by reminding us that being active is part of who we are.”
The ParticipACTION 150 Play List is the ultimate list of physical activities that define us as Canadian. Visit participACTION.com/150 to sign up, get active and earn chances to win amazing prizes. Fresh Air Fitness runs on Wednesdays, May 24 to August 20, at Mississauga Celebration Square from 7 to 8 p.m. and is sponsored by Pepsi.
