Mississauga Celebration Square hosts Groundhog Day Marathon (again)

Entertainment and activities | January 30, 2014

Back by popular demand, Mississauga Celebration Square is hosting the third annual Groundhog Day Marathon on Sunday, February 2.

Between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., watch the 1993 cult classic ‘Groundhog Day’ on the Square’s outdoor digital screens.  Pay homage to the beloved weather-predicting groundhog and the comic genius of Bill Murray while skating on the Square’s outdoor ice rink.  The film will run continually throughout the day, with show times beginning every two hours.

The public can also vote on whether or not they think Wiarton Willie (Canada’s iconic groundhog) will see his shadow or not.  The poll launches today on Mississauga Celebration Square’s Facebook page, where the results of Wiarton Willie weather prediction will also be posted February 2.
