Mississauga Kicks-off Summer on Victoria Day with Southern Flare

Entertainment and activities | May 12, 2014

This Victoria Day (May 19), grab your beads, boas and dancing shoes and head to Mississauga Celebration Square for a Mardi Gras Pep Rally to kick off the summer season. Let the good times roll with the bombastic sounds of New Orleans favourites, the Stooges Brass Band. There will be dancers, drumlines and gourmet food trucks serving up the very best in curbside cuisine. This is one event that the whole family will get into!

Visitors will also see the City’s new brand for the first time around the square and on the screens. In celebration of this, the event will feature the ‘Say it for Sauga’ video booth. Everyone is welcome to share their favourite Mississauga moment, experience or place to help tell Mississauga’s story in their own words. Say it, sing it, shout it out – solo or with friends; visit the video booth throughout the summer season at the Mississauga Central Library.
