Mississauga Libraries Have Lots to Celebrate in October

Entertainment and activities | October 3, 2016

This is a busy and exciting month for the Mississauga Library System. October marks Canadian Library Month, Ontario Public Library Week (October 16 to 22), and the 25th Anniversary of Mississauga Central Library. To mark the occasions, the Mississauga Library System is hosting a wide variety of family-friendly activities, programs and events all month long.

“Commemorating these important dates raises awareness about the importance of libraries in the community,” said Rose Vespa, Director, Mississauga Library Services. “For residents, visitors and newcomers, our libraries are community hubs that provide universal access to information, programs, activities and services. Our Libraries offer spaces that foster a sense of belonging while encouraging all citizens to learn, create and discover.”
