Mississauga to Host 2nd Annual Abilities Awards

The second annual Abilities Awards are being held in Mississauga on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. The event is a community-inspired celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The Awards celebrate the achievements of persons with disabilities and their contributions to the community. The Awards will also highlight community partners who are dedicated to providing quality accessible services in our community.

The evening will feature live music, exhibitors and raffles. Light refreshments will be available for cash purchase. Admission is free.

Both individuals and organizations can be nominated in one of the following categories: citizenship, advocacy, arts, lifestyle, media, caregiver and service provider. Nominations have been extended to Monday, November 17, 2014.
