Mississauga’s Family Day Activities Offers Activities for All Ages at Little to No Cost

We know it could be tricky to keep family and friends active and content during the winter months.

So why not take advantage of a full day of fun and excitement already planned for you and your love ones this Family Day on Monday, February 18, 2019.

Get out your jackets, toques, scarfs and favourite mittens and check out the activities Mississauga is serving up for all ages and interests:

Family Day Activities to Try in Mississauga

  • Cross country skiing
  • Snowshoeing
  • Indoor and outdoor skating
  • Tobogganing
  • Fishing
  • Indoor swimming


Family Day PJ Skate at Mississauga Celebration Square

Join us on the rink for a PJ Skate or head inside to warm up with cool crafts and treats. You can also check out the Royal Ontario Museum’s Travelling Planetarium for a unique look at the universe! This event is proudly presented by Tim Hortons. [MAP]

Family Day holiday city service hours

City offices will be closed on Monday, February 18 for Family Day. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, February 19.

Transit: MiWay will operate on a holiday service schedule on Monday, February 18. Visit MiWay’s Trip Planner to plan your travel and get real time trip updates on your next bus arrival or call 905-615-INFO (4636) for assistance.

Libraries: Closed on Sunday, February 17 and Monday, February 18.
