Mississauga’s Reverse Supplier Trade Show: making it easier for businesses to do business with the City

Are you a local business or supplier looking to work with the City of Mississauga?
To help suppliers better understand how to work with the City and compete for upcoming opportunities, the City is opening its doors with its first‑ever Reverse Supplier Trade Show. The one‑day event, called Supplier Connect: Mississauga’s Reverse Supplier Trade Show, is designed to break down barriers, answer questions directly, and give businesses practical insight into City procurement, expectations, and future projects.

Unlike a traditional trade show, City business units will host the booths, and suppliers can engage directly with Procurement Services and representatives from more than 15 City business areas. The event helps make City purchasing easier to understand by connecting suppliers directly with the staff, steps, and requirements involved in buying for the City.

In addition to the trade show, the City will offer learning sessions that will cover:

• Procurement fundamentals
• Risk and insurance requirements
• Sustainability considerations
• Business supports available through IDEA Mississauga

A one‑day event that combines a trade show with learning sessions that connects suppliers with City staff to better understand how to do business with the City of Mississauga.

Time: Reverse Supplier Trade Show: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Learning sessions will be held throughout the day (Limited to 40 participants per session; registration required)
