Are you planning on taking transit over the holiday season to do some shopping or visit loved ones? Transit is a wonderful way to get to your destination, without having to worry about driving in snowy weather or searching for a parking spot at a busy mall. During the holiday season, from December 22 until January 4, MiWay will be adjusting its levels of service based on anticipated customer demand.
During the holidays, all 300-series high school routes will be out of operation, as schools will be closed. MiWay service will be operating as follows:
On days with reduced weekday service:
On days with regular Sunday service:
Regular MiWay service will resume on Monday, January 5.
Whether visiting friends or joining the New Year’s Eve celebrations at Celebration Square, there are many reasons to ride public transit for the year-end holidays. MiWay will offer free service on New Year’s Eve from 7 p.m. on December 31 to 4 a.m. on January 1.
The following routes will have extended late-night service until 4 a.m. on January 1:
