New Director Appointed to Enersource Board of Directors

Mississauga City Council approved the appointment of Doug Elliott as an independent director to fill a vacancy on the Enersource Board of Directors at the January 5, Special Meeting of Council.

“I have confidence in the resolution Mississauga Council authorized appointing Mr. Elliott to the Enersource Board of Directors,” said Mayor Bonnie Crombie. “Enersource is a City partner and together we serve the community. Enersource through its board of directors will continue to provide Mississauga with excellent customer service.”

Mayor Bonnie Crombie, Ward 6 Councillor Ron Starr and Ward 9 Councillor Pat Saito also serve on the Enersource Corporation Board of Directors.

“Mr. Elliott brings a wealth of experience to the Enersource Board,” said Norm Loberg, Chair of Enersource Corporation.  “His in-depth knowledge of the energy industry, coupled with his business leadership and board expertise will be of great benefit to Enersource in both the immediate and long-term.”

Biography
Doug Elliott has extensive senior executive and leadership experience in Canada’s energy distribution sector.  Previously,  Mr. Elliott was President of Superior Propane and served as a Director on the Canadian Propane Association board, where he also was a member of the Audit Committee.  Doug also obtained his Chartered Director designation through The Directors College at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business.  As a resident of Mississauga, Mr. Elliott is proud to join the Enersource Board of Directors.
