New Woodlands Library Officially Opens its Doors

Looking for a great new place to study or read? Head over to the new Woodlands Library and join us for the official opening on Saturday, June 21.

Where:
Woodlands Library, 3255 Erindale Station Rd. (located at the corner of Erindale Station Rd. and McBride Ave.) Enter from Erindale Station Rd.

Time:
Meet and Greet at 10:15 a.m.
Official Ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m.

Parking:
The entrance to the parking lot is shared with The Woodlands School.

“The Woodlands Library is an important part of the community and a crucial building block in creating a welcoming and vibrant neighbourhood,” said Rose Vespa, Director, Library. “We are pleased to show our commitment to lifelong learning with the opening of this new library.”

• Quiet study rooms
• Bookable community room
• Green building elements including energy efficient equipment
• Self-serve check-out
• Fireplace
• Children’s computer
• Large floor-to-ceiling windows
• An outdoor reading space sponsored by The Friends of the Mississauga Library System (in the future TBC).

In addition to the new library opening, the library’s multi-purpose room will be dedicated to Jim Wilde, an active community volunteer in Mississauga. Wilde was a founding member of the Friends of the Mississauga Library System. He was also a member and chairman of the Mississauga Public Library Board. A plaque will be dedicated in Wilde’s honour following the official opening ceremony.
