One hundred and thirty-one candidates are running in the upcoming 2022 City of Mississauga Municipal Election. The official list of certified candidates is available online.

The following candidates ran unopposed and were elected by acclamation:

• School Board Trustee, English Separate: Thomas Thomas, Ward 5
• School Board Trustee, French Public: Yvon Rochefort (citywide)
• School Board Trustee, French Separate: Estelle Ah-Kiow (citywide)

About the 2022 Municipal Election

The 2022 Municipal Election is on Monday, October 24, 2022. Mississauga voters will elect the Mayor, Ward/Regional Councillor and School Board Trustee for their area.

Anyone who is unable to vote on October 24, can participate in the Advance Vote, which will be open from October 7 to 9 and 13 to 16. Voters will be able to vote at any Advance Vote Location. A list of voting locations will be shared online in the coming weeks.

On Election Day, voters will be able to vote at any voting location in their ward. More information about the 2022 Municipal Election is available at MississaugaVotes.ca.
