Entertainment and activities | May 11, 2026

With just one month until the world’s largest sporting event kicks off in North America, excitement is building across the City of Mississauga. Co-hosted by Canada, the United States and Mexico, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026, bringing 48 teams together for 104 matches across the continent, including games in Toronto.

Celebration Square will host public watch parties

Soccer fever is coming to town; the City will be hosting soccer watch parties at Mississauga Celebration Square (MCS). These plans reflect the City’s cultural diversity, strong community spirit and love of sports.

MCS is planning to broadcast 59 matches over 23 tournament days, planned around previously scheduled festivals and events. This includes all three Canada group stage games, the round of 32 and the final.

Residents and visitors can enjoy the beautiful game at family‑friendly public match screenings in a safe, welcoming environment for fans of all ages. The award-winning accessible MCS space also offers assistive listening devices available upon request.
