It’s time to get your bike out, pump up the air in your tires and get ready for the first Community Ride of the season this Saturday. Community Rides are a series of casual cycling rides throughout Mississauga from May until October. Visit mississaugacycling.ca for more details about routes, schedules or rain dates.
Details of the Kick-off Community Ride
What:
Community Rides offer residents a leisurely bike ride through Mississauga and a chance to see trails and parks they may never have explored before. Saturday’s ride will explore the north east corner of the city.
Who:
Led by volunteers of the Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee for local residents.
When:
Saturday, May 9, 2015
The ride starts at 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Where:
Garnetwood Park (1950 Burnhamthorpe Road East)
Two routes available – one off-road trail and one road route
Round trip:
17.5 kilometres
This year’s Community Rides have increased to 20 from 15 last year. The rides are being sponsored by Toronto Pearson Airport. Bring the whole family, participate in as many rides as you can, and enjoy exploring Mississauga. All rides are followed by free refreshments provided courtesy of Toronto Pearson Airport.
