Residents Recognized for Exceptional Achievements and Community Service

Each year, the City of Mississauga recognizes local residents for their outstanding contributions to the community at the Civic Award of Recognition Evening. Once again in 2017 we will be honouring over 100 deserving residents.

2017 Civic Recognition Award recipients

The Civic Recognition Program allows the City of Mississauga to recognize the efforts and achievements of Mississauga residents and volunteers in the following areas:

  • Volunteer community service
  • Arts, sports or other fields of endeavour
  • Philanthropy
  • Significant milestones of individuals and organizations

Awards in the program include the Certificate of Recognition, the Civic Award of Merit and the Civic Award of Philanthropy.

This year the Civic Recognition Award Ceremony will be live streamed from 7 to 8 p.m. on the City website’s at www.mississagua.ca\livestreaming
