Say goodbye to 2023 and hello to 2024 as you count down to the New Year and kick off Mississauga’s 50th anniversary at Mississauga Celebration Square. Don’t think your kids will make it to midnight? Don’t worry – this celebration includes an early confetti countdown for the young and young at heart.
Pack your skates and bring your appetite over to the Square for some winter-friendly activities and tasty treats at the food trucks. Canadian music legend and Mississauga’s very own, Shawn Desman will headline the stage with his iconic pop tracks, joined by RnB sensation, Shay Lia and Afro-beats rising star, Nonso Amadi.

8 p.m. – NYE Junior with entertainment, snowmobile stunt show and a confetti countdown
9 p.m. – Nonso Amadi, Afro-Beats rising star
10 p.m. – Shay Lia, RnB sensation
10:30 p.m. – Snowmobile stunt show
11 p.m. – Shawn Desman, Canadian music sensation and platinum pop artist
11:55 p.m. Countdown featuring remarks from Acting Mayor John Kovac, Ward 4 Councillor
12 a.m. – Live fireworks finale

Please be advised of road closures in effect on December 31, 2023 to January 1, 2024 ranging from 2 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Underground parking at Civic Centre will be closed all day. With limited access to available parking downtown, attendees are encouraged to carpool, walk or take MiWay. MiWay will offer free service on New Year’s Eve starting at 7 p.m. on December 31, 2023 until 4 a.m. on January 1, 2024. View bus schedules.
Limited public and accessible parking is available in the Living Arts Centre underground lot.
There will be road closures in Mississauga’s downtown core starting at 2 p.m. December 31, 2023 until 1 a.m. on January 1, 2024. Areas impacted by the closures are outlined here.
Accessible mobility device charging stations are available at Celebration Square. One can be found directly in front of the Amphitheatre and the other in Legends Row on the west side of the Square. Additionally, an accessible viewing area will be available for the show onsite.
