Residents are invited to the official opening of the new Streetsville Village Square on June 6, 2015.
To celebrate the new square activities will run all weekend, starting Friday, June 5 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, June 7 at 4 p.m.
“This weekend will be the first of many opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy this new outdoor entertainment space,” said Ward 11 Councillor George Carlson. “The square has been transformed into a vibrant destination that residents and visitors will enjoy for years to come.”

Background:
The new square’s innovative design includes a performance stage area, energy efficient lights, sound systems and accessible features to create a community focal point for local festivals, events and celebrations. The project was designed with community input to appropriately place the cenotaph in the centre of the square and to complement the community’s heritage and village history.
