The City of Mississauga is now accepting applications for its 2014 Designated Heritage Property Grant program.

“Mississauga’s heritage properties help make our city visually appealing, respectful of the past and culturally interesting,” said Andrew Whittemore, acting director, Culture Division. “The personal commitment and investment of time and resources in these sites helps maintain Mississauga’s community history so it can be enjoyed for years to come.”

Launched in 2007, the program offers grants to successful applicants for the conservation, repair and/or restoration of property designated under the Ontario Heritage Act. Matching grants from $500 to $5,000 are available for general conservation and from $500 to $10,000 for the repair or restoration of structural elements.
