Reindeer are often too busy to make public appearances during the holiday season but for one evening only, Santa’s helpers will be on Mississauga Celebration Square during the City’s annual Light Up the Square event on November 19.
In addition to Santa’s furry friends, visitors to Light Up the Square will also enjoy many fun, festive and family-friendly activities. Carousel rides, skating and a headline performance by Stella Rio will kick the holiday spirit into high gear.
An official ceremony with Mayor Crombie, Members of Council and other special guests including the bearded man in red himself will light up the Christmas tree and Square for the holiday season.
New to the event this year is a Holiday Street Market presented in partnership with Mississauga Celebration Square. The market will feature a host of artisan vendors selling one-of-a-kind goods. There will be food trucks, a game board competition and much more.
