There’s no Place like Mississauga for Holiday Shopping

Whether you’re looking to cross names off your holiday shopping list or treating yourself, Mississauga has plenty of options to meet your holiday shopping needs. Mississauga is home to more than 2,800 local shops, boutiques and retailers – the options are endless!

Mississauga has a number of unique neighbourhoods, each with its own character and a wide range of retail selections. Clarkson Village, Cooksville, Downtown City Centre, Malton, Meadowvale, Port Credit and Streetsville, to name a few, all provide residents and visitors with opportunities to shop and support local this holiday season. So consider a change this year, avoid the crowds and plan to visit some of Mississauga’s one of a kind or mom and pop shops! Getting there: Driving, parking and transit
It’s always important to give yourself extra time and plan accordingly due to weather and traffic on the roads during peak holiday shopping days. Rather than driving around looking for a parking spot or attempting to parallel park into that tight spot, consider using MiWay to get around this holiday season. MiWay connects residents and visitors across Mississauga. You can visit the MiWay website to plan your route. Free parking is available in Port Credit and Clarkson from now until January 15, 2023. Paid parking will remain in effect in the Downtown and Streetsville.

In addition to the many unique local shopping options available, Mississauga’s malls provide shoppers with countless options, even for the toughest-to-buy-for person on your list. Most malls are now operating on holiday hours, giving shoppers more flexibility to shop at times that best suit their schedules. Be sure to check mall hours before heading out.

Here are a few local favourites:

Dixie Outlet Mall and the Fantastic Flea Market
1250 South Service Rd.

Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Fantastic Flea Market hours: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday only

Dixie Outlet Mall offers a large selection of retailers and is one of Canada’s largest enclosed outlet shopping centres. There is plenty happening at the mall through the holidays for more information visit their website.

The Fantastic Flea Market is open weekends year-round and is located on the lower level of Dixie Outlet Mall. It is Ontario’s oldest running flea market, operating since 1976. The market has more than 100 vendors with a wide-range of products from vintage to new.

Erin Mills Town Centre

In recent years, Erin Mills Town Centre underwent a $100 million dollar transformation featuring a new centre court, sphere, fountain, food court and 123 stores. The updated main entrance features a glass façade that is more than 40 feet tall and 350 feet wide. The mall is easily accessible from the 403, 401 and 407 major highways and features a MiWay bus terminal across from the main entrance. Heartland Town Centre

Heartland Town Centre is an outdoor shopping centre with over 180 stores, services and restaurants. Heartland is accessible from Highway 401 at both Hurontario Street (Highway 10) and Mavis Road. Shoppers can easily spend the entire day at Heartland and find various stores and outlet shops along with several restaurants. Meadowvale Town Centre

Meadowvale Town Centre offers a wide range of retailers both inside the mall and stores located outside of it. There are a number of food options as well! Meadowvale Town Centre is accessible from Highway 401 and Highway 407. For more information on holiday promotions please visit their website.

Square One Shopping Centre

Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.  – Holiday Hours Dec. 3 – 30

Located in the heart of downtown Mississauga, Square One is Ontario’s biggest shopping centre and the second biggest in Canada with 350 stores. In addition to a large food court, Square One is also home to The Food District with several food options to help keep you fueled during your shopping spree! The MiWay main terminal is located on the grounds of Square One. The mall features real-time parking maps to help find parking spots and also offers valet parking.
