On Saturday, May 25, the City of Mississauga is celebrating its public works professionals and recognizing the important work they do with the return of its National Public Works Week Family Fun Day – and you’re invited!

The City of Mississauga’s public works professionals play an essential role in keeping us safe by building and maintaining the infrastructure, facilities and services we use and rely on everyday like roads, sidewalks, parks, bike lanes, transit and stormwater infrastructure. National Public Works Week (May 19-25, 2024) recognizes how these professionals contribute to and enhance the quality of life in communities. This year’s theme is “Advancing Quality of Life for All.”

Family Fun Day is a great opportunity to meet City staff and learn more about their work through a variety of interactive family-friendly activities. Get up close to the equipment and trucks and join in on fun activities.
