If you’re wondering where to head for some epic holiday shopping, look no further than Mississauga! With more than 2,800 local shops, boutiques, retailers and many malls, the options are endless!

Whether you’re looking to pick up some unique and fabulous holiday gifts for someone on your list or treating yourself to a new holiday outfit, Mississauga has plenty of options to help you finish your final holiday preparations.

Mississauga is home to several unique neighbourhoods, each with its own character and a wide range of retail shops and boutiques. Clarkson Village, Cooksville, Downtown City Centre, Malton, Meadowvale, Port Credit and Streetsville all provide residents and visitors with opportunities to shop and support local this holiday season. If you want to avoid the crowds and visit some unique shops, visit Mississauga’s neighbourhoods this holiday season!

Clarkson Village

Located in south Mississauga, Clarkson Village boasts more than 140 diverse businesses including restaurants, salons to fit any style, retail shops and much more. It’s a great place to find unique gifts for everyone on your list.

Cooksville

Located just south of Mississauga’s City Centre at the intersection of Dundas Street and Hurontario Street, Cooksville is a fabulously diverse neighbourhood offering unique textile and clothing shops, restaurants, and ethnic grocery stores. The area is well known for its multicultural foods and is a great place to visit for gifts and when all your shopping has you craving some tasty treats.

Malton Village

There are more than 400 businesses in Malton and that number is growing at a rapid pace. Malton offers a number of shopping areas as well as local restaurants offering cuisine from cultures around the world. Be sure to visit the shops at Westwood Square on Goreway Drive and a number of retailers along Airport Road offering a variety of options for your holiday shopping needs!

Port Credit

With more than 400 shops, services and venues, Port Credit offers local boutiques, restaurants, pubs and a vibrant nightlife. Enjoy free parking in Port Credit until January 15, 2026.

Streetsville

Known as “The Village in the City,” Streetsville offers quaint and scenic streets providing an enjoyable shopping experience and hallmark movie vibes. Queen Street features many historic homes and buildings that have been converted into shops, restaurants, salons and more. Shop the ‘Ville this holiday season.

Mississauga malls

In addition to the many unique local shopping options available, Mississauga’s malls provide shoppers with countless choices, even for the toughest-to-buy-for person on your list. Most malls are now operating on holiday hours, giving shoppers more flexibility to shop at times that best suit their schedules. Be sure to check mall hours before heading out. Here are a few local favourites for you to consider.

Dixie Outlet Mall and the Fantastic Flea Market

Dixie Outlet Mall offers a large selection of retailers and is one of Canada’s largest enclosed outlet shopping centres.

The Fantastic Flea Market is open weekends year-round and is located on the lower level of Dixie Outlet Mall. It is Ontario’s oldest running flea market, operating since 1976. The market has more than 100 vendors with a wide range of products from vintage to new.

Erin Mills Town Centre

In recent years, Erin Mills Town Centre underwent a $100 million dollar transformation featuring a new centre court, sphere, fountain, food court and over 185 stores. The updated main entrance features a glass façade that is more than 40 feet tall and 350 feet wide. The mall is easily accessible from the 403, 401 and 407 major highways and features a MiWay bus terminal across from the main entrance.

Heartland Town Centre

Heartland Town Centre is an outdoor shopping centre with over 180 stores, services and restaurants. Heartland is accessible from Highway 401 at both Hurontario Street (Highway 10) and Mavis Road. Shoppers can easily spend the entire day at Heartland and find various stores and outlet shops along with several restaurants.

Square One Shopping Centre

Located in the heart of downtown Mississauga, Square One is Ontario’s biggest shopping centre and the second biggest in Canada with 345 stores! In addition to a large food court, Square One is also home to The Food District with several food options to help keep you fueled during your shopping spree! The MiWay main terminal is located on the grounds of Square One.

Festival of Trees

Another great option to check out for unique Christmas ideas (and lots of festive fun) is the Festival of Trees at the Small Arms Inspection Building.
