Development trends and growth management dashboard

See Mississauga’s development trends from 2014 to 2019, including building permits issued for residential, non-residential and community developments and their value. This dashboard also includes information on active planning applications.

Active planning applications map

This map displays major planning applications currently being processed by the City’s Planning and Building Department. These projects have a significant impact on the Mississauga’s geography, planning and policy. This information is updated on a yearly basis.

Building permits map

This map displays the location of building permits issued by the City in the last 18 months. The information is updated monthly.

Growth forecast map

Growth forecasts provide population, housing units and employment estimates for the period 2011 to 2041. The forecasts are specifically used for the Development Charges By-law review, service and infrastructure planning and input into the Region of Peel’s growth allocation exercise.

City-wide 3D massing model

The purpose of this model is to assist with urban planning applications such as mass and density.

This map and report lists all sites in Mississauga which contain multiple residential units. This information is updated on a yearly basis.

This map and report lists all sites in Mississauga which contain offices. This information is updated on a yearly basis.

The census hub looks at Mississauga’s wards and neighbourhoods, focusing on their age structure, labour force, household size, language, income and public transit usage.

This section shows the results from Mississauga’s annual employment survey and includes information on employment trends since 2001.

Land use map

The City conducts an annual update of the existing land use. The data was compiled from a combination of the issue of building permits, the Mississauga Official Plan designations, zoning, development applications, aerial photos and site checks.

The City conducts an annual update of the vacant land in Mississauga. Like the land use map, this data was compiled from a combination of the issue of building permits, the Mississauga Official Plan designations, zoning, development applications, aerial photos and site checks.

Natural areas system map

See the City’s natural areas based on the annual Natural Areas Survey (NAS). The map identifies and inventories natural areas within Mississauga including woodlands, wetlands, creeks and streams.
