Request a New or Replacement Tree

Use this service to request the planting of a replacement or new tree on City of Mississauga property in established neighbourhoods.

Replacement or new trees are planted along road allowances in established neighbourhoods at locations where trees have been removed, or in a location where a tree may or may not have previously existed, including buffer areas lining major and secondary roads. This request also includes areas where planting takes place along new boulevards after road construction; the addition of storm sewers, sidewalks, and or curbs.

To submit a request you will need to:


1. Provide a valid Mississauga street address.

You need to provide the street address for this service request. If the address cannot be found in our system you may need to call 3-1-1 to make your request.

2. Provide your contact information and email.

Your email address will be used to send you a confirmation, and to help you receive status updates on your request.

Please confirm the following:


I am requesting a replacement or new tree on City of Mississauga property.

The requested location is in an established neighbourhood and not a new subdivision.

The requested location of the new or replacement tree is not currently occupied by a tree, tree stump or tree log.

All planting sites are automatically reviewed for tree replacement within 12 months of stump removal, weather permitting.

I understand that my replacement or new tree request may not be granted.

City staff reserve the right to choose the species of tree and the planting location most appropriate for this service request.

The personal information will be used by City of Mississauga Staff for responding to your service request and/or inquiry. We may also follow-up with you or collect feedback once the service request has been closed.
