Temporary Parking Permit (Consideration)

Use this service to request a short term parking permit (parking consideration) on a residential street. You may request up to 14 short term parking permits in a year for each address where there are no prohibited signs. This permit is not valid on private property.

Please note that Traffic By-law 555-00 allows extended on-street parking from 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., on the following statutory holidays in Ontario: New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

To submit a request you will need to:


1. Provide the Mississauga street address where you reside

You need to provide your street address for this service request. If your address cannot be found in our system you may need to call 3-1-1 to make your request.

2. Provide your contact information and email

Your email address will be used to send you a confirmation, and to help you receive status updates on your request.

3. Provide vehicle plate numbers

Please confirm the following:


I am requesting temporary parking for more than 5 hours; 1 to 5 days; and maximum of 5 cars

All other requests, call 3-1-1. Temporary Parking Permits only allow residential on street parking for longer than 5 hours. Vehicles must be parked in compliance with all other provisions of the City of Mississauga’s Traffic By-law and all applicable laws.

My request is not for a heavy vehicle, broken down/unlicensed vehicle, school bus, commercial vehicle, detached trailer or a vehicle displaying a for sale sign.

I am requesting a temporary parking permit for the Mississauga address where I reside

Temporary parking permits will be cancelled if an applicant is found to be using a Mississauga address that is not the address where they currently reside. Mississauga residents must use their own address to obtain parking permits for visitors.

I understand my temporary parking permit can be suspended or cancelled at any time

On street parking is prohibited from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. year-round. Temporary parking permits may be suspended or cancelled at any time for weather conditions or emergency situations. Vehicles found on City streets will be enforced according to the Traffic By-Law 555-00 and will be issued a penalty notice and subject to towing and storage fees at the expense of the owner.

The personal information will be used by City of Mississauga Staff for responding to your service request and/or inquiry. We may also follow-up with you or collect feedback once the service request has been closed.
