Open for consultation City project

Future park at Grand Highland

The City is creating a new park at the property formerly used as Grand Highland Golf Course (Grand Highland).

What activities and features would you like in the park?

Take survey

Deadline: July 8, 2025

Overview

The lands at Grand Highland cover 11.5 hectares (28 acres) in the Hurontario neighbourhood between Hurontario Street and Highway 403. The City wants to turn the lands into a sustainable, distinctive park which balances its cultural and historical importance with the present and future needs of the community.

The location is important to Indigenous Communities as it’s close to the former Antrex Indigenous Village. Through consultation with the Indigenous Communities, the future park will integrate commemorative elements to provide a respectful and correct interpretation of the Village as directed by City of Mississauga Council Resolution 0038-2022 in a strong step towards Reconciliation.

The future park at Grand Highland is in the centre of the roads Barondale Drive, Bristol Road East and Wildwood Trail.

Get involved

We’re asking you to complete our survey by July 8, 2025, to understand what features and activities you are interested in for the future park. Your feedback will help shape the park design.
