Glenforest Youth Hub

Overview

Glenforest Secondary School, located at Fieldgate Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road East, will be home to the City’s second youth hub providing services and programs that reflect the needs of local youth.

Public consultation

In early 2025, the City led focus groups, pop-up engagements and an online survey. More than 600 people answered our survey, and 54% of responses came from youth.

The community asked for a welcoming, inclusive space where young people can connect and access programs and services such as:

• Meals
• Cooking and nutrition classes
• Mental and physical wellness resources
• Computers
• Leadership training
• Career support

This feedback will guide the design and layout of the hub. Planning will continue throughout 2025, and construction will begin in 2026.

Youth Information Session
