The review of the Lakeshore Road East corridor began in 2021 and concluded a year later with the adoption of an Official Plan Amendment (MOPA 131) by City Council. The study included the properties with frontage along Lakeshore Road East, between Seneca Avenue and Etobicoke Creek, within the Lakeview community. The study focused on built form, height and density. It resulted in changes to the existing policy framework to facilitate transit-supportive development along Lakeshore Road East. MOPA 131 came into effect on April 3, 2024.
Community engagement
Throughout the study period, there were opportunities for the public to provide input, learn and participate in community engagement sessions.
