Apply for a transitway access permit

The transitway access permit allows you to use the City’s dedicated bus lanes for construction and project work. You will need this permit to:

• Access your private property through the transitway
• Load or unload equipment on transitway lands
• Park vehicles or equipment on transitway lots

Your application must include:

• A completed transitway access permit application form
• A certificate of insurance showing:
  • General liability insurance of at least $5 million
  • Automobile insurance of at least $5 million

To prevent any delays to scheduled work, apply for your permit at least two weeks before you need it.

How to submit an application

1. Download and complete the transitway access permit application form and certificate of insurance.
2. Email your completed documents to miway.infrastructure@mississauga.ca.
3. The City will send you an email with the electronic fund transfer form and payment instructions. Follow the instructions provided to complete the application process.

Fees

Each permit costs $302.11 (HST included).

What happens next

Once you have paid the fees, you will receive a copy of your permit by email.
