The City of Mississauga received the Public Works Project of the Year Award from the Ontario
Public Works Association (OPWA) for the Rehabilitation and Retrofit of the Burnhamthorpe Road
Bridge over the Credit River and Mullet Creek. The award was given in Transportation
Category Greater than $10 million.
The OPWA's Public Works Project of the Year awards are intended to promote the excellence in
the management and administration of public works projects by recognizing the alliance between
the managing agency, the consultant/architect/engineer, and the contractor. Awards are given in
three monetary divisions from five categories.
